EID Mela Engagement – Fort Gardens, Gravesend (07/06/2026)

On Sunday 7th June 2026, local officers attended the EID Mela at Fort Gardens, Gravesend. The event was a vibrant community fun fair and family day, bringing together residents of all ages in a welcoming atmosphere.

Officers engaged positively with members of the public throughout the day, taking the opportunity to build relationships, offer reassurance, and discuss local policing matters. A number of attendees were successfully signed up to My Community Voice, helping to strengthen communication between the police and the community.

The event was especially enjoyable for children, who had the chance to try on police uniform and sit inside a police van, creating memorable and positive experiences with officers.

It was a fantastic turnout, and we are grateful to everyone who attended and took the time to speak with us. Events like this are a great opportunity to connect with our communities and continue building trust and confidence.
